Pool Fencing - Tweed Heads & Gold Coast
Pool fences, certifier-ready on the Gold Coast & Tweed Heads
Coast Fencing & Gates has been installing and certifying pool barriers across the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads since 2013. Every install is built strictly to AS 1926.1-2012, fitted with self-closing self-latching gate hardware as standard, and handed over with a written compliance summary the same day we finish. Aluminium tubular for the standard open-pool barrier, or Colorbond as a compliant solid-boundary alternative. Both certified end-to-end and both finished in colours that quietly step out of the way of the water.
Every installincludes
- Genuine extruded aluminium panels and posts
- Marine-grade powder-coat finish from the Interpon or Dulux range
- Posts concreted at standard centres and plumb-verified before panels are fitted
- Choice of standard or custom-matched powder-coat colour
- Top-rail capping and matching corner trims included
- Sloped-block panels raked rather than stepped to maintain a continuous top line
- Existing fence removed where applicable; aluminium recycled
- Manufacturer warranty registered against the property on completion
Types of Pool Fences
We install two compliant pool-barrier options across the Coast
Aluminium Pool Fences
The most-installed pool fence on the Gold Coast.
Aluminium tubular is the default pool fence in Australian residential builds. The decorative open profile lets the pool zone breathe visually while every panel meets the strict spacing and height requirements of AS 1926.1-2012. We install the full residential range in marine-grade powder-coat with stainless-steel fixings to handle the salt-air conditions of every Gold Coast and Tweed suburb, and every install is backed by a 15-year structural warranty registered against your property on completion.
Every installincludes
- Compliant to AS 1926.1-2012 by default1200 mm minimum height, ≤100 mm panel gaps, ≤10 mm ground clearance
- Decorative open profile keeps the pool zone reading as part of the garden, not boxed off
- Marine-grade powder-coat with stainless fixings won't rust, chalk, or fade in coastal exposure
- Choice of flat-top, top-rail, or loop-and-spear profiles in 14+ standard powder-coat colours
- Self-closing self-latching gate hardware fitted and tested under load as standard
- 15-year structural warranty registered against your property at handover
Colorbond Pool-Compliant Boundaries
Pool fences, certifier-ready on the Gold Coast & Tweed Heads
For pool zones that back onto a side or rear boundary, a Colorbond solid-sheet fence can form part of the pool barrier in place of standalone aluminium tubular. It’s the option we reach for where the brief calls for full visual privacy, lower ambient noise from the pool deck, or colour-and-profile continuity with the home’s other Colorbond runs. We install with the smooth back-face turned into the pool side and the 900 mm non-climb zone kept clear of any rail or foothold. Most pool certifiers across the Coast pass it without issue when the installation detail is right. We confirm the preferred detail with your nominated certifier before quoting, so there’s no surprise at inspection.
Every installincludes
- Approval as part of a compliant pool barrier under AS 1926.1-2012 when correctly installed
- Smooth back-face turned into the pool zone no horizontal corrugations or rails inside the climb zone
- Full 1200 mm minimum height with ≤10 mm ground clearance maintained
- Full visual privacy from neighbours and reduced pool-deck noise transmission
- Matches the 14-colour BlueScope palette of the home's other Colorbond runs
- 25-year BlueScope residential warranty registered against your property at handover

Questions & Answers
for pool fencing
If you’re building a new pool, altering an existing one, or selling the property, yes — QLD law requires a current Pool Safety Certificate from a licensed certifier. We coordinate the inspection on your behalf so the handover is clean.
Flat-top has a clean horizontal top rail — modern and minimal. Loop-and-spear (tubular) has traditional looped heads and a classic look. Both meet AS 1926.1-2012. Most Gold Coast homes in the last five years have gone flat-top.
Yes. We core-drill into concrete, pavers or tile and grout posts back flush. On timber decks we use base plates with concealed fixings.
The full Interpon / Dulux powder-coat range — including Monument, Surfmist, Jasper, Matte Black, and heritage colours. We supply swatches at the quote visit.
Regularly. We can slot into a pool build at the right stage, or come in post-handover once landscaping is done. Either way, we’ll time our visit so nothing gets kicked around.
