Build to the covenant, not around it

Most Varsity Lakes estates specify a Colorbond colour and a maximum height, and some go further and dictate what can face the street. That is not a problem when you know it up front. Send the guidelines through with your enquiry and we quote to spec, so the fence is approved rather than argued about.

Townhouses and duplexes here usually sit under a body corporate as well, which is a separate set of rules again. We are used to working through both.

Lake frontage and sloping estate lots

Blocks backing onto the lake want the same thing canal blocks want — a barrier that meets the rules without taking the view. Tubular aluminium is the answer, with Colorbond doing the privacy work on the side boundaries.

The lots running up toward Reedy Creek and Bond also carry real fall, so stepping the Colorbond down the slope properly matters here more than it does on the flat estate blocks. Where the fall is steep enough, the fence needs a retaining wall under it first.
