Slope is the job here

On a falling boundary you have three options and they are not interchangeable. Stepping drops the fence in even increments and keeps every panel level, which suits Colorbond. Raking follows the ground continuously and suits timber and aluminium better. Retaining levels the ground first and is the honest answer when the fall is steep enough that stepping would leave a gap you could crawl under.

Inland means less salt and more ground to cover

Nerang is far enough off the water that salt is not the driver it is on the beach blocks, so standard Colorbond and treated timber both perform well here and you are not paying for marine-grade specification you do not need.

What you are paying for instead is length. Blocks are bigger, boundaries are longer and the acreage fringe out toward Maudsland, Advancetown and Gilston runs longer again. Long runs are more efficient per metre than short suburban ones, so it is worth getting the whole boundary quoted rather than doing it in pieces.
