Low ground changes how the posts go in

The flats near the river hold water. Ground that stays soft for days after heavy rain is hard on a fence, because the posts are the part that suffers — a post set badly in wet ground works loose and takes the fence line with it over a few seasons.

On those blocks we take more care with the post holes and the concrete than we would on dry ground, and for timber we use H4-treated posts because ground contact in wet soil is what kills a timber fence first. It is not a glamorous part of the quote but it is the part that decides whether you are calling someone back in five years.

Estates on one side, acreage on the other

The estate blocks east of the river are standard suburban work — Colorbond boundaries, the occasional covenant colour to match, pool barriers, and gates matched to the fence.
